What is crowdsourcing?
Crowdsourcing is the idea of connecting a common goal to the collective intelligence of a large and diverse group of people to generate and share ideas, collaborate quickly and solve problems efficiently by integrating numerous perspectives in a structured approach. This method is gaining global traction to inspire innovation and collaboration to achieve business objectives.
“Crowdsourcing is a known method for problem-solving by going wide for ideas and relevant information before diving deep. We believe how we work is just as important as what we do,” says Shuki Einstein, CH2M’s Global Director of Emerging Technologies and Applied Innovation. “The only way we can solve the true complexity of our clients’ challenges is by looking at our ideation and client solutions differently, breaking down real or perceived silos and truly connecting our diversity of thought.”
Crowdsourcing is not only fostering diversity of ideas and collaboration but it is also creating a space for employees to feel comfortable in voicing their ideas, innovating and receiving constructive feedback. We want our people to reach their innovative potential because when they do, amazing work happens.
